Notearama Publisher Agreement

Hey, welcome! Before you start uploading, here's what you're agreeing to. We've kept it simple.

Who can upload? To publish on Notearama, you need to: have an active Notearama account in good standing, be at least 18 years old (or the legal adult age where you live), and if you're uploading on behalf of a company or organization, you need to be authorized to make agreements on their behalf. We reserve the right to revoke access at any time.

Other rules that apply This agreement works together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy — those apply here too.

We control the platform Notearama manages all features and functionality of the site and app, and we may update or change things at our discretion. We can also remove content at any time if needed. For the initial release, Notearama staff will review and approve or reject notebook submissions. In the future, users may be able to directly upload notebooks for publication.

Uploading your content Once you agree to these terms, you're welcome to upload and share digital content like documents. Just know that you upload at your own risk and while we do our best to protect your content, we can't guarantee it will never be copied or misused, and we won't be liable if it is.

Things you can't do Please don't copy, resell, modify, or profit from other people's content on Notearama. Also, don't do anything that violates our Terms of Use or that could harm Notearama's reputation. Violations are taken seriously and could result in your account being suspended or terminated.

The license you give us By uploading content, you give Notearama permission to host, display, distribute, translate, and promote your content across any media, including using it in ads in order to run and grow the platform. This license ends when you delete your content, though we may keep a copy for legal or archival purposes.

The license you give other users Other users get permission to view, download, and print your content for personal use. When you delete your content this license ends, but users who already downloaded it can keep their copies.

You keep ownership Uploading your content doesn't transfer ownership. It's still yours.

Keeping things confidential Please don't share any confidential information about Notearama (like internal tools, documentation, or anything we've labeled "confidential") without our written permission.

How long this agreement lasts This agreement starts when you upload your first piece of content and continues until one of us ends it. We can terminate it at any time without notice. You can end it by deleting your content and closing your account, or by emailing us at support at notearama.com and it'll be officially terminated 15 business days after we receive your message. Some parts of this agreement (like your content licenses) survive termination.

Removing your content If you delete your content, it won't be available to new users after that date. However, users who already downloaded it offline can keep accessing it.

What you're promising us When you upload content, you're confirming that: everything you've told us is accurate; you own the content or have the rights to share it; your content doesn't defame, slander, or violate anyone else's rights; it follows our Terms of Use; it doesn't conflict with any other agreements you've made; it's free of malware or viruses; it doesn't have any DRM restrictions; and no legal claims have been made against it.

Our security disclaimer We take security seriously, but we can't guarantee our security measures are foolproof. We're not liable if someone finds a way around them.

We're independent Notearama and you are independent parties; this isn't a partnership, employment relationship, or joint venture.

Export rules Don't upload any content that requires special government licenses or clearances. This includes anything covered by U.S. export control laws like ITAR or the Export Administration Regulations. It's your responsibility to make sure your content is cleared for public release.
